Accessibility on this site

We work in federal compliance. Accessibility is a federal requirement in the work we support, so holding our own website to a lower standard than our clients' would be indefensible. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

• Text and background combinations meet the AA contrast ratio, checked by measurement rather than by eye. An automated audit walks the visible text of every page in a real browser and computes the effective background behind it. We found and fixed instances at 2.95:1 and 3.21:1 that failed it.
• Interactive targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels across the navigation, buttons, breadcrumbs and form fields, measured at eight device widths from 320px to 1024px.
• Form fields render at 16 pixels or larger, so iOS Safari does not zoom the viewport when one is focused.
• A skip-to-content link is the first focusable element on every page, and nothing that receives keyboard focus is ever hidden behind the sticky header. Both are checked by driving real Tab presses in a browser and asking what actually paints at the focused element, across every route at four viewport widths.
• Every page has a single main landmark, one first-level heading, and a logical heading order beneath it.
• Navigation works with a keyboard alone, including the mobile menu.
• The contact form labels every field, ties each error to its input, and moves focus to the confirmation after a successful send.
• Content reflows to a single column on a phone without horizontal scrolling.
• Pages are usable with browser zoom well past 200%.

We have not commissioned an independent audit against WCAG 2.2 AA, and we are not going to claim conformance we have not tested. A few specific things are on our list:

• The scheduling calendar is provided inside a frame by Calendly. We do not control its accessibility. If it does not work for you, email us and we will book the time ourselves.
• Several PDFs are not yet tagged for screen readers. The capabilities brief is available as an HTML page as an alternative.
• We have not tested with the full range of assistive technology.
